Sheep-cheese filled pastry

 

Ingredients

5 Yufka (a type of pastry)
2 eggs
250 g GAZi sheep cheese, grated
100 ml milk
200 ml oil
Pour milk, eggs and grated GAZi sheep cheese into a deep glass bowl and beat with a wire whisk. Spread out one of the Yufka pastry sheets, coat completely with the mixture and place another Yufka pastry over it. Repeat this procedure with the other Yufkas.

When you have put on the fifth and last Yufka pastry sheet, press them together lightly by hand. With a wide glass, press out round shapes and place them on a sheet. Put it all into the freezer for an hour.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the stuffed pastries on both sides until golden yellow.

By the way: Yufka pastry sheets can be found in almost all Turkish supermarkets and in many speciality stores.
