The nicest gifts are always something that’s personal. How about these savoury puff-pastry cake pops?
For 8 cake pops, you’ll need just two cookie cutters (one small heart and a circle), 8 wooden sticks, one roll of puff pastry, and red pesto. You can mix up the red pesto in an instant with 80 g of dried tomatoes, 30 g of roasted pine nuts, 5 T of olive oil, 50 g of GAZİ goat cheese, a bit of garlic, and salt and pepper.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut out 24 circles about 5 cm in diameter. With 8 circles, cut out a heart from the middle. Now, place two intact discs on top of each other and insert a stick between them. Place a dollop of red pesto in the middle of the top circle. Then, place the circles with the heart design on top and press down firmly on the edge with a fork. Place the cake pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven at 180° C for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
