SAVOURY COOKIES WITH NUTS AND GAZİ TAZE PEYNIR

INGREDIENTS FOR 30 COOKIES

  • For the nut and shortcrust pastry

    120 g GAZİ Butter
    150 g wheat or whole spelt flour
    100 g ground hazelnuts
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 medium egg yolk
  • For the nut and shortcrust pastry

    250 g GAZİ Taze Peynir
    1/2 bunch of fresh dill
      Salt and pepper

  • PREPARATION

    1. Mix the ground hazelnuts with the flour. Add the cold GAZİ butter and the egg yolk. Quickly knead into a smooth dough using a dough hook or your hands. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

    2. Preheat oven to 190°C. Dust the work surface with flour and roll out the dough. Form into small circles, stars or similar shapes using a cookie cutter. Bake on a baking tray with baking paper for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Let cool, then remove from the baking tray.

    3. For the filling, mince the dill and mix with the GAZİ Taze Peynir. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Using a small piping bag, spread the mixture onto half of the biscuits. Top with the remaining biscuits. Garnish with dill.
